We love movies! Movies tell stories that entertain, educate, inform and motivate. When we first began producing ‘movies’ of weddings we committed ourselves to produce results that were equally effective at entertaining and moving an audience. Our wedding cinematography is a reflection of our passion for storytelling as much as it a portrayal of the love and commitment of the families celebrating a wedding.
Lorelei Ashley and Marc Lehman created Ashley Media Productions and began producing wedding videography in 1988. Lorelei has a vast experience in the multimedia industries. Many of her jobs helped prepare her for the unique role as a wedding cinematographer and wedding film editor. As a production technician for an ABC News affiliate she learned and performed important television production processes. She learned the art of movie making as a production assistant on film crews in Hollywood. As an actress working in front of the camera in films and movies, she embraced the heart of film making. As an on-air radio personality, especially as host on KOST 103.5 “Love Songs” program in LA, she connected cutting edge production techniques with real time listener experiences. These roles and many more gave Lorelei the experience to combine with her talent to enable her to produce truly wonderful Emotion Pictures or real life events.
Marc has quite a different background and path. A Nuclear Power Engineer by trade, Marc was also an avid amateur photographer as far back as he can remember. When Marc and Lorelei met they shared a desire to find a platform for their common interests and abilities. Their experience in engineering and technology, their photography and production talents, their communication and people skills, and of course their passion for movies gave birth to Ashley Media Productions.
Since it’s inception Ashley Media Productions has provided video production services for couples getting married, families celebrating an event and companies in need of video production services. Recently, Ashley Productions has refined it’s services and delivery platforms for these three unique markets. We have branded our wedding videography services under the name of The Emotion Picture Studio because this long time tagline of ours best fits the style and effect or the wedding films we are producing today.
We produce wedding videography with a sensitivity for the personal experience and an understanding of what makes for a great movie. Our daughter’s Jessica and Avielle have grown up watching wedding videos being produced and have been contributing their own artistic talents as videographers and editors for over a decade. Our best friends, Mike and Cheri Wilson brought their talent and passion to the company in 1990. Collectively we have produced over 4,000 wedding videos for brides and grooms just like you.
